Let’s take one of our Impact Circle Members as an example to show you how this works.

This amazing human is a realtor that came to us because he wanted to support a women’s shelter but didn’t know how to tie it into his real estate business.

After hearing the stories of how his mom left an abusive relationship and used a shelter to get back on her feet and provide for him, it was pretty clear how special this cause was for him.

This is an important point. You HAVE to be passionate about your cause. If you don’t really want to make an impact and serve a bigger cause, people will be able to sniff out that you are just doing this to look good.

Through some of our training calls he worked through how he was going to partner with the charity, that he wanted to donate $500 per deal, and the story of why it means something to him.

Well just a few weeks after working through the program he was in a listing conversation with a potential seller. The seller was talking to 2 other agents about listing the house….both of which were big name realtors in town.

He told the person selling their home that one of his favourite things about becoming a realtor was that he now got the opportunity to support the local women’s shelter with every deal that he closed, and that giving back to them was his motivation to sell more houses.

It turns out this lady also really wanted to support the same cause and gave him the listing knowing that she got to be apart of supporting an incredible cause.

That listing gave him over $10,000 in commissions and beat out some of the hardest competition in town.

That same realtor has now gone on to close multiple deals where he never thought he would get the listing compared to the other realtors because he keeps sharing his passion for wanting to help women, like his mom, leave abusive relationships.

The other day he told me he has a whole new look and passion for becoming a real estate agent. It was originally to make a ton of money and be his own boss, which is cool.

But now his goal is to donate over $20,000 a year to help women who are fleeing abusive relationships through his relationship with a women’s transition house.

Same out outcome, different motivation.
