“Serving others can often times be the best way to serve ourselves..”
I don’t even know where to begin to explain the experience we had this weekend for you all 🤔
Our team took 25 high level entrepreneurs down to Ensenada, Mexico to build a house for the most amazing humans, the Ramirez-Lopez family.
We often times think that when we do something nice for someone else, they are the ones that benefit the most.
But after this trip, I can confirm that the majority of our attendees are coming back feeling like they got the biggest blessing of the weekend.
The perspective shift that each person got to experience is something they can each lean back on as they go through life.
Next time they’re upset because they have to go grocery shopping and they don’t want to, they will think back to how this family cried because we gave them a bag of rice and some beans…
The next time they have to mow their lawn or clean the yard, they can be grateful that they have something more than just a dust pit surrounding them…
The next time they complain how hot or cold it is outside, they will remember that this family doesn’t even have an insulated roof or electricity to heat or cool their house…
But the craziest thing is,
Everything we provided for the family was an upgrade in their world 🤯
✅ I gave them the keys to their house and they awkwardly tried to unlock the door because they have NEVER had to unlock a door before…
Imagine what it is like to have never had the security of a locked door.
✅ We put in a large water tank outside their house…Not inside. There is no plumbing in the house at all..
It’s the first time they have had the ability to store water!!
✅ We didn’t put any flooring down, just a concrete slab.
They had not had a solid floor in their lives…They are use to a dirt floor.
This family had nothing and giving them a roof, a locking door, and some food meant the world to them. All these things we take for granted and don’t even think about.
Serving this family all weekend was a great reminder of how lucky we are and why sometimes getting out of your comfort zone, taking a pause, and doing something nice for someone else can remind us of how good it feels to help others.
If you are interested in joining us on our next Mexico Impact Experience in the fall, jump on our wait list and you will be the first to hear about details about our next trip!

TLDR:
Sometimes giving is more about what it can do for us then what it does for others.
Perspective is a great tool to reflect with.
Being around other people creating impact is the most powerful energy you will experience.
Get out of your comfort zone and get to a trip like this. It will change your life.
